I’m Charlie, a Creative Director with an art direction background and a strong strategic skillset.
How experienced are you?
15 years deep working at the best creative agencies in Aotearoa, including Saatchi & Saatchi and the world renowned Colenso BBDO. Local and international clients across every industry.
Any awards?
Globally recognised for both creativity and effectiveness. Highlights include multiple D&AD pencils in film, and a Grand Prix at Spikes.
Where are you currently working?
In 2021 I took a break from the big networks to help set-up Daylight, an indie founded with support from The Spinoff (Aotearoa’s leading independent media organisation). In just 3 years we have grown to a team of 32, including a 12 strong creative department that I look after.
Why did you decide to interview yourself for this? Is that kind of weird?
A little odd yes, but different is good. If you’re reading this bio, you’ve probably read a million others - so I thought I’d change it up. The exact approach I apply to business and every creative brief.
